Call for Nursing Scholarship Applicants
CMSA is excited to offer a $2000 scholarship to a deserving nursing student from the Big Bend Area who will commit to stay and serve this medical community upon their graduation. This money can assist with ANY costs related to their education.
Mission: Our mission is to encourage Heath Care Professionals to stay and serve the medical community in Tallahassee and the Big Bend Area.
Requirements:
1. Must be accepted to a Registered Nurse Program at Tallahassee Community College School of Nursing, Florida State University College of Nursing, Florida A&M University School of Nursing, Keiser University School of Nursing, North Florida Community College, or Chipola College School of Nursing (Please provide acceptance letter).
2. Must plan to accept employment in the Big Bend Counties listed: Taylor, Madison, Jefferson, Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, or Jackson County.
3. Must provide one reference able to speak to the applicant’s character and willingness to stay and serve the local Big Bend medical community.
4. Must write an essay indicating what inspired the applicant to become a nurse, and how they plan to bring that passion to the Big Bend area after graduation.
5. Optional: Provide a CV attached to the application.

Application period opens: February 1, 2024
Application deadline: March 18, 2024
Notification of recipient: March 27, 2024
Presentation of Scholarship: April 12, 2024
